Location: Texas
This granny pig once lived in a yard in the Inland Empire, California, confined to a small pen where she was barely fed. We believe the family who took her in had good intentions, but they lacked the financial resources to properly feed or care for her. Already an adult when we rescued her in 2013, her exact age remains unknown, but we know she’s a granny!
She enjoys just about anything that’s offered to her, including vegetables, pig food, fruit, and other treats. Occasionally, she needs pain medicine for her sore leg. While she doesn’t move around much, she maintains a healthy weight and is easy to please.
Animal control eventually removed all the animals from the residence where she lived. We were contacted by someone who knew the family, and we went to rescue her.
She now resides in Texas, where she enjoys a kiddie pool! When she made the move from California to Texas, we transported her in a minivan, and she was an excellent passenger!
