General Information

Location: Texas

Anna Mae was born with three and a half legs.  We met her mom in 2019, after a community member became concerned, thinking Anna Mae was injured.   No one has spoken to her mom, so we went and knocked on her door.  We had a nice conversation with her and we met all four of her small white dogs, including Anna Mae!

We offered, and mom agreed to let us spay and neuter all four of her sweeties.  We gave  them DHPP and rabies vaccines, and we provided flea medicine.  They were all very loved, and we stayed in touch with her mom.

In (Monica when did we get her?) Anna Mae’s mom contacted us and said she had terminal cancer.  She made the heartbreaking decision, to find homes for the dogs she loved so much.   Mom asked us if we would help them get into loving homes.  We placed three of her dogs but we wanted to care for Anna Mae ourselves.

Anna Mae was born with three and a half legs. We first encountered her and her mom in 2019, after a concerned community member mistook Anna Mae’s condition for an injury. Wanting to help, we visited her mom and knocked on her door. We had a pleasant conversation and got to meet all four of her small white dogs, including Anna Mae!

We offered to spay and neuter all four dogs, and her mom graciously accepted. Along with the spaying and neutering, we also provided DHPP and rabies vaccines, as well as flea medication. It was clear that these dogs were very loved, and we made sure to stay in touch with her mom.

In [Monica, please specify the year], Anna Mae’s mom reached out to us with heartbreaking news—she had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Faced with a difficult decision, she asked for our help in finding loving homes for her cherished dogs. We successfully rehomed three of them, but we felt a special connection with Anna Mae and decided to care for her ourselves.

Anna Mae only weighs a few pounds and remains skinny no matter how much she eats. She tends to get itchy and has a high-pitched scream when she needs something. To keep her comfortable, we provide her with allergy shots and medicated baths.

Your generous donation can help us provide Anna Mae with the specialized care she needs to live a comfortable and happy life. Please consider contributing to ensure this sweet girl receives her allergy treatments, medicated baths, and all the love she deserves.
